inovia Launches iptranslator Patent Translation Offering

Unique,

inovia, the leading foreign filing platform, announced today from the INTA Annual Meeting in Boston, the general availability of iptranslator – a patent translation product offering to support foreign filing. inovia, in conjunction with its PCT national phase entry and European validation products, has been doing foreign patent translations for over 8 years and is now the largest specialist patent translations company in the US.

In 2009, the company translated over 20 million words into 41 languages. Its "double certification" methodology consists of (1) the patent application being translated by a native speaker who is skilled in the relevant technical field and then (2) the translation being reviewed and approved by a local patent attorney.

"Translating patent applications is just as important as drafting claims," noted Justin Simpson, Australian Patent Attorney and founder of inovia. "Our double certification sets the new bar for expert IP translations, leveraging the global agent network our clients have trusted for 8 years."

"Working with inovia has lowered my clients’ foreign filing costs," commented David Vance of Vance IP. "Access to their high-quality translations at these competitive rates is a welcome option for my clients who are looking to save money but still want to use their own foreign associates for the prosecution."

inovia will be exhibiting in booth #629 at INTA in Boston, distributing copies of its 2010 US IP Trends Report along with information about its foreign filing and translation products.
