    *At least a copy of Power of Attorney shall be presented at filing. Original Power of Attorney has to be filed within two months from filing. Please note that the due date is not extendable. No additional costs are involved in filing the Power of Attorney.

    **Translation of the claims must be filed when filing the application. The full translation can be filed within two months from filing. No additional costs are involved in filing the translation.

  • Amendments can be made at filing.

  • The request for examination is to be filed within three years from the international filing date but can be filed also at filing the application.

  • The Uzbekistan Patent Office may request a Russian translation of the Written Opinion and IPER. If a Russian translation of the Written Opinion and IPER is not provided at filing, the Uzbekistan Patent Office is likely to issue a formal Office Action requesting it.

  • Late entry of the PCT national phase application is possible within 12 months from the expiration of the time limit – good reasons are needed. Late filing fees will be incurred for this.

  • Translation of the claims must be filed when filing the application. The full translation can be filed within two months from filing.

  • Late filing of the application is possible within 2 months after expiration of said 12 month period, however the applicant must present good reasons (not depending on the applicant) showing why the due date was missed.

  • The request for examination is to be filed within three years from the national filing date but can be filed also at filing the application.

  • A certified copy of the priority document and its certified Russian translation must be filed within three months from the application filing date.
