*Excess claims fees are not due at filing; the patent application will be accepted by the Patent Office for only a basic fee. Excess claims fees are due prior to commencement of examination.
A certified copy of the priority document should be submitted at the time of filing the application. Late filing is possible within 12 months from the application filing date but will result in a late fee, invoiced by the agent.
A certified English translation of the priority document (if the priority is not in English or Hebrew) is sometimes requested from the Israel Patent Office. The translation needs to be submitted within three or four months from the date of the official notification. If the translation is submitted separately to the certified copy of the priority document then a fee is incurred, invoiced by the agent.
The Power of Attorney needs to be submitted to
the Patent Office within 3 months from the date
of filing. This deadline is extendable up to six
months subject to payment of extension fees.
Sunday is a workday in Israel, so any application
with a Saturday or Sunday deadline must be
filed by the Sunday.
