inovia to Explore 2011 IP Trends and Best Practices at AUTM Annual Meeting
New York, NY · February 23, 2011 · inovia, the leading foreign filing platform provider, today announced that Justin Simpson, its founder and executive director, will moderate a panel on 2011 IP trends and best practices at next week's AUTM 2011 Annual Meeting in Las Vegas.
While often complicated, costly and time consuming, international patent filing is a critical part of profiting from new technologies and products. Yet in today's economic climate, universities are experiencing financial pressures and clamoring for ways to save money. In a session entitled, "Cost-Effective International Patenting Strategies," Simpson will lead a group of panelists to identify cost-saving tactics, share insight into their own international patenting strategies, discuss licensee issues and reveal economical best practices for foreign filing.
The panelists include technology transfer executives from:

• Emory University
• Indiana University
• University of Illinois
